Special Pathogens Laboratory Remains Open Amid Governor’s Order for All Non-Life-Sustaining Businesses with Physical Locations to Close
On Thursday, March 19, 2020, Governor Tom Wolf ordered the closure of all “non-life-sustaining” businesses in Pennsylvania to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
Special Pathogens Laboratory’s doors in Pittsburgh remain open. Classified in the Professional and Business Services category, we will continue to operate during normal business hours. (See the state’s list of business categories with closure status.)
We will continue to provide Legionella testing and free shipping. Our water management services team is also available for case investigations and outbreak response.
